Cognition & focus
Cognition & focus contains two short synthetic neuropeptides that were developed in Russian research. Selank is a heptapeptide derived from tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg), extended with the sequence Pro-Gly-Pro. Semax is also a heptapeptide: an analogue of the ACTH(4-7) fragment with the same Pro-Gly-Pro extension. In the literature, both are investigated in studies of the central nervous system, including studies of BDNF expression. How both peptides are built and what their status is in Russia and the EU is explained in Semax and Selank: what are they?
When you order Selank or Semax for research, you receive a vial of freeze-dried powder; here too, the label states a batch number. Not every strength is always in stock, and current availability is shown in the product grid below. Tips on keeping lyophilisate stable can be found in storing peptides, and the basic terms are covered in what are peptides. Your order is shipped from the Netherlands. For laboratory and research use only.
